i built my own outta 5/16, really easy. used a skill saw and a metal cutting blade to cut where i wanted. cost about $40 and a few hours. it hasn;t seen huge rocks yet so i dunno how the 5/16 will do compared to the 3/8. it similar to a budbuilt. i just made cardboard templates and went from there. i am thinking of bracing it a bit more

Discussion Starter • #1 Because the BudLite crossmember is only 3/4" thick, it gains nearly 2.5" more ground clearance than your stock Toyota crossmember with much greater strength, full dual case protection, and ability to run two t/case mounts to help prolong your engine mounts and better carry the weight of your drivetrain. Ordered a Budbuilt crossmember with a 1" drivetrain lift and was wondering if it might cause a vibration or any problems because of the 2 piece driveshaft on my '84 truck. Truck has a 1" body lift and I don't plan on lifting the engine, just the T case. I already searched and couldn't find Find the hardware bag labeled "crossmember." Take long replacement bolt and put one washer on it. Fit the new long bolt into the factory crossmember. Now a flood jack will most likely be needed to give very slight upward pressure to let the other factory bolt slide out by hand. Selling my Budbuilt Toyota 4cyl.

I had everything sand blasted first, which is what they recommend. The stuff REALLY sticks to freshly sandblasted metal, you can tell. It dries very hard too.
